| dc.description.abstract | La tithonia diversifolia (botón de oro) produce entre 90 y 130 t de materia verde por hectárea por año, con un 27% de materia seca, lo cual equivale a un rango entre 24 y 35 t por hectárea por año de materia seca, en una densidad de siembra de 1 m x 1 m. se adapta muy bien a alturas desde el nivel del mar hasta los 2.400 msnm, con precipitaciones de 600 a 2.400 mm, suelos pobres y de mediana fertilidad y posee altos niveles de nutrientes que se pueden incluir en la dieta, disminuyendo la cantidad de concentrado en la alimentación y, por ende, reduciendo los costos de producción. | en_US |
