dc.description.abstractEl Barómetro de las Américas es una encuesta de opinión pública que se realiza en 18 países coordinado por la Universidad de Vanderbilt. La Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander Ocaña realizó un convenio académico insterinstitucional con la Universidad de los Andes para trabajar articuladamente en la aplicación de este instrumento a nivel municipal, trabajo que posibilitó que el proyecto se desarrollara en la asignatura de Servicio Social del programa de Derecho con estudiantes de noveno y décimo semestre. Este tipo de encuestas son importantes a pesar del gran esfuerzo logístico que suponen, el principal objetivo es poder hacer seguimiento en tiempo real del pensamiento y las actitudes de los ciudadanos sobre ciertos temas. Así mismo, pueden convertirse en una fuente alterna de información. En Ocaña tiene un gran protagonismo ya que nunca se había realizado una encuesta de opinión pública con el rigor y el profesionalismo de esta.en_US

dc.description.abstractenglishThe Americas Barometer is a public opinion survey carried out in 18 countries coordinated by Vanderbilt University. The Francisco de Paula Santander Ocaña University made an inter-institutional academic agreement with the University of the Andes to work jointly on the application of this instrument at the municipal level, work that made it possible for the project to be developed in the subject of Social Service of the Law program with ninth and tenth semester students. These types of surveys are important despite the great logistical effort they entail, the main objective is to be able to monitor in real time the thoughts and attitudes of citizens on certain topics. Likewise, they can become an alternative source of information. In Ocaña it has a great role since a public opinion survey had never been carried out with the rigor and professionalism of this one.en_US
